About the Original Structure

The rooms in the original structure have been well-kept and are ready for your stay with us. We’re working on creating a theme for each of these rooms for your fun, but that’s always a work in progress. You can sit on the covered porch and can park right in front of your room.

About the Suites

Suites 6 and 7 have the look of a duplex, sharing one interior wall and the exterior deck. Each suite offers a full kitchen with gas stove, and a small dining area. Suites can accommodate up to 4 guests.

Blue Spruce Motel Rooms

Suite 6 is a standard suite with two queen beds, gas stove, refrigerator, TV, microwave, dishes & pans, coffee maker and toaster.

Suite 7 has one queen bed and a full-size futon, gas stove, refrigerator, TV, microwave, dishes & pans, coffee maker and toaster.

About the New Building

Rooms 8 thru 15 are the newer, non-smoking rooms at the Blue Spruce. These rooms have table and chairs, the bedroom areas are carpeted, and the bath and other areas have nice ceramic tile.

Lucky Horseshoe

The cabins and motel rooms form a horseshoe shape around the grassy common area with charcoal grills, picnic tables and benches at the Lucky Horseshoe.

You’ll find our rooms are comfortable and very clean. All our rooms have linens with your beds already made.

Cottage #16 (formerly known as cottage C) is one of our largest spaces available. #16 offers a unique accommodation option that includes three upstairs bedrooms and a first-floor kitchen, living room and bathroom.

Cottage #17 (formerly known as Cottage B) was completely remodeled in 2017 and includes 2 bedrooms, both with 1 queen bed, a fully equipped kitchen, private bathroom, and complimentary air conditioning.

Cabin #18 (formerly known as #1) was recently remodeled, and the unit was gutted and completely redone inside. It’s laid out like a small motel room, but gives you the privacy of a free standing unit. It has one queen bed with a refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, and air conditioning.

Cabin #6, (formerly called cabin #2) has a knotty pine interior with an ‘up north’ look and feel throughout. The cabin has one full size bed, newly remodeled bathroom, air conditioning, and fully equipped kitchen.

Cabin #20 is affectionately known as our cozy garden cabin, formerly known as #3, and offers one full size bed, a microwave, mini-fridge, coffee maker, and air conditioning.

#21-#22

Formerly called cabins 4 and 5, both cabins #21 and 22 have (2) rooms with one full-size bed in each room, a small kitchen, seating area, and bathroom.

Room #23 (formerly known as room 6) has two double beds and offers a refrigerator, coffee maker, and complimentary air conditioning.

Room #14 (formerly known as room 7) has one queen bed, a coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave as well as air conditioning.

#25 (Barrier Free)

#25 (formerly room 8) is our barrier free room that has one queen bed, coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave and has air conditioning. The room has a bathroom and entry laid out for limited mobility.

Room #26 (formerly known as room 9) has two double beds and offers a refrigerator, coffee maker, and air conditioning and lakeshore decor.

Amenities

The Blue Spruce and Lucky Horseshoe Motels are located downtown, just a short 3 blocks from the Harbor. Nineteen motel rooms, eight cabins, and a three bedroom cottage are nestled over 2 acres with free WI-FI.

You can sit by the fire pit to enjoy the stars, or how about a picnic in one of our two common areas with picnic tables and grills. We were so excited to add a brand new heated pool for our guests in 2005. Just bring your pool towels and relax in the sun!
